My journey began with graphite pencil drawings, but it was through tattooing that I discovered the power to transform the ordinary into something sacred and deeply meaningful. After receiving my first tattoo—a portrait of my mother—from my mentor, Ricardo Avila, I realized tattooing could convey the essence of culture, identity, religion, dharma, and the divine. This realization led to a full-circle moment when Ricardo and I opened The Reign Art Gallery, further solidifying my dedication to the art. Through tattooing, I’ve found a way to create work that resonates not only with me but with those who choose to carry it. This path has reshaped my life, enabling me to express the most authentic parts of myself through the craft of tattooing.
